Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and DuoSages for using the DuoSages app. Please read them. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

In short. You must be 13 or older. The Sages are an AI. Readings are for reflection and personal insight, not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and the decision is always yours. Purchases go through Google Play or the App Store. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

1. Who we are

DuoSages ("DuoSages", "we", "us") makes the DuoSages app for Android and iOS. You can reach us at support@duosages.com.

2. Who can use DuoSages

You must be 13 or older to use DuoSages. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. If you are under 13, please do not use the app.

3. What DuoSages is, and what it is not

DuoSages combines the Tarot and I Ching traditions with a conversation. The cast is chance: nothing in the app chooses your cards or your coins. The meanings come from the traditions. The Sages, who are an AI, help you read what was cast in the light of your question.

DuoSages offers perspective for reflection. It does not make predictions, and it does not give medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. Nothing in a reading is a diagnosis, an instruction or a guarantee about the future. Decisions about your life, health, money and relationships are yours, and for those please talk to a qualified professional.

Replies are written by an AI and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuited to you. If something the Sages write seems harmful or wrong, press and hold it in the app to report it, or use "Report this reading" at the foot of a reading.

DuoSages is not a crisis service. If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency number now, or a crisis line in your country. You can find one at findahelpline.com.

4. Your account

You can look around the app without an account. A reading needs a free account, because each reading is written into it. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@duosages.com if you think someone else has access to it.

5. Readings, DuoSages Plus and payments

Each account gets a complimentary reading every day. Additional readings are available as one-time packs, and DuoSages Plus is a subscription with more readings, the Journal, the full deck collection and deeper memory. What each includes and its price are shown in the app before you buy.
Purchases are made and billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, under that store's terms. We never see your card details.
DuoSages Plus renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings; it stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription by itself.
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its refund policy.
Plus is for personal use and may include a fair-use limit on readings per day, which the app shows you when it applies.
If a purchase does not arrive, use "Restore purchases" in the app, or contact us.

6. Using DuoSages fairly

Please do not:

use DuoSages to break the law, or to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
try to get around reading limits, payments or safety features;
copy, scrape, resell or build a competing service from the app, its readings or its card art;
reverse engineer or interfere with the app or its servers, except where the law allows it;
use automated means to send questions or create accounts.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.

7. Your content

What you write in DuoSages (your questions, conversations and notes) stays yours. You allow us to store it and process it only to run the app for you: to write your readings and replies, to keep your journal and conversations, and to sync them between your devices. How we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy.

The readings and replies the Sages write for you are yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Our content

The app, its design, the DuoSages name, the owl and red panda, and the deck artwork belong to DuoSages or its licensors. You may use them only through the app, for your personal use.

9. Ending

You can stop using DuoSages at any time, and delete your account from the app (You, then Your data, then Delete my account) or by following these steps. Deleting your account removes your data as described there. Sections 7 to 11 continue to apply after your account ends.

10. Disclaimers and liability

DuoSages is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any reading is accurate or suitable for any purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, DuoSages is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on a reading. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms as the app changes. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using DuoSages after that, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
